Hey Al – I definitely don’t want to fall into that stream – you’d be an icicle in quick order. I love the grey tones which tends to make you feel much colder. Is this straight out of the camera or have you done some post processing? The little bitty light looks like it says come follow me out of here and you might find some warmth…..

Right out of the camera with a couple tweaks in ACR.

Looks a tad bracing down here where the days have been over 30 degrees celcius.

Great shot Al. That will give you the chills. Love the soft light on the snow and how the ice at the top of the image has that crystal look to it.

Nice one, the ice really makes it interesting. I got some of my fav waterfall yesterday and it was def icy. Great job.

There’s a nice rhythm in the shapes of the ice and the water that’s flowing between them.

I didn’t know orange county had ice and snow… But i love the shot, the way the snow and ice looks in the light is great! It’s ’20′ Degrees here today, so no outside shots.

You have me shivering in my boots again…love the ice “sculptures” that nature created, truly amazing!!!

Don’t do that to me!!!! I just left sunny California (Doris’s blog) and the warmth of her calendula image, only to step into a frozen stream! ;-)

Now that I’ve had a chance to dry myself off and defrost, I’ll admit it’s a great image with lots of detail. It has a rather painterly look…

This image does speak cold! We actually have several frozen ponds down here in Georgia. It is so cold!

Great shot Al, love the effect of the ice in the scene. Ice feels colder to me than snow.

Everything freezes so fast & solid up here in Canada, wish I could find a stream that is only partially frozen, just love the different stages of this. A much more interesting image.

I have to disagree with the “Not much creativity flowing today” statement. Sometimes no words are necessary to convey creativity :)

Looks like a cold abstract shot to me. Nicely done.

This looks REALLY cold..great photo for the topic. It looks almost like art with the water and the snow and ice. Beautiful.
